About us

We meet the political and strategic challenges of space safety, security and sustainability

Look Up is a SpaceTech company founded by Gen. (R.) Michel Friedling, France's first Space Commander, and Juan Carlos Dolado Pérez, former head of Space Safety at CNES. Our mission is to provide data and advanced services to defence, civil and commercial operators, as well as regulators and insurers, combining a globally distributed radar network and an advanced digital platform to monitor, track, and protect assets in an increasingly congested and contested orbital environment.

At Look Up, we believe that monitoring space is a strategic, economic, and environmental necessity. Space is a shared, precious and non-renewable resource. There is no sustainable Earth without a sustainable space.

Our technology

SORASYS: our ground-based radar network

Our radar capability is built on a globally distributed network of ground-based space surveillance and tracking radars. SORASYS 1, based in Lozère in France, is now operational. Additional radars (currently SORASYS 2A & 2B in French Polynesia) are being deployed, with the goal of reaching near-persistent detection capability. Sensor upgrades are planned through the end of the decade to achieve persistent tracking of LEO objects at every orbit with utmost precision.

SYNAPSE monitors and tracks objects in orbit by fusing data from diverse sources to deliver SSA (Space Situational Awareness) and SDA (Space Domain Awareness) solutions, helping secure active satellites and ensure safe operations across the ever-growing expanse of space activity.
